Cabin in the Adirondacks 2009

My intent is to create an original work of art that captures the feeling and beauty of the location I am portraying. I use photographs as a reference tool, but the finished piece is not a reproduction of a photograph.
It is an interpretation of the place you choose, done in my individual style of painting.
Commissioned art is very appealing to me.
I am open to suggestions and happy to work with your ideas and visions.

Alice and Dee Have Tea

These pieces were inspired by the ivy design on the tea set
that is featured in the oil painting and the tables.

Pastels requested in a "Matisse" style, to coordinate with the client's decor.

Amy's Coffee Break 2000
This pastel was commissioned by a client who wanted herself portrayed in her favorite place.
I related to this concept immediately, although my "spot" is the Jersey Shore
and Amy's is in Vermont.
